[pct-l] Snow Courses this winter?

HI, Steven!

Thus far, we only offer a Snow Course in SoCal right after the Kickoff, about the first weekend in May. 
We are buried in 18 hours of raw footage and lots of writing to create the Snow Guide Book and Skills and Navigational videos to go with, so I don't expect to have any excerpts out onto our remodeled website until this winter....

Our recommendation is to take a course, preferably near to wherever you are (SoCal?) offered by anyone who knows the trail, its conditions, and how to live in it, otherwise, and obviously, take one of ours. We should be able to finish this winter's Snow Course Schedule soon and put it up on our new site (if it is done by then) and/or Postholer, so stay posted.

  After checking out the postholer site I do have a couple of questions.  Do you ever do the socal class in the fall/winter (or any course in Cali?) and have you finished the how to follow the PCT under snow book/video?  I'd love to buy a copy.

  Our website is at least four years old and, therefore, seriously out-dated. We are in the process of remodeling it to meet the needs of our students, photo and video viewing, and course information.

  We will be scheduling our Snow Courses for 2010-2011 soon. The cost is free. Read a Snow Course Description to understand what we do, what is expected of you, and so forth.

    Ned, thanks for getting back to me.

    I was curious about the costs of taking the SC101 and SC102A classes as well as any planned dates for this winter?  I have hiked the AT in 2006 I could have used a W series of classes that year (water) since it rained for what seemed, and possibly was, over 40 days in a row.
