planning info.
On the fellow hiker front: this list is a good place to talk to hikers
planning to hike in 2011.  Also, if you are planning on going northbound,
you won't have any problem finding hikers to hike with.  There will be
hundreds, and you will probably meet and hike with dozens of different
people along your journey.
