Subject: [pct-l] Gaiters

Couldn't live without them on the AT.  Haven't really needed them on the PCT.  

Back east the ticks are really thick in places. And there is all kinds of Poison 

ivy and oak and such.  And the heat gets bad because of the humidity, so you 
really need to be in shorts.
