[pct-l] My feet are killing me!

Hey Shelly,

Sounds like good advice. One of the more amazing section hikers I met last
year was Amoeba who has thru hiked the AT twice in crocs. She was an
amazing hiker who fell in love with our deserts over a month or so, and
plans to do more of the PCT in the future. When she first began long
distance hiking, she had been nearly crippled by her boots. She tried
tennis shoes, and still had a really bad time, and was forced to hike off
trail in her camp shoes which were crocs. Well, her feet suddenly felt
good, and now she owns a room full of the type of crocs that fit her, as
they don't last as long as tennis shoes, and has well over 4,000 miles using
them. She hikes a pretty good pace, but when I asked her how she got her
trail name she answered, "just watch me on the trail". She's one smooth,
deliberate, steady hiker, and a great person.
