I agree that alcohol stoves are dangerous in the sense that the flames are invisible in daylight.  It is possible that a person could not know his stove is burning and somehow tip it over and ignite surrounding combustible material.  Stove users should clear the area around the stove of combustible material before using the stove.  As for knocking an alcohol stove over and the burning alcohol flowing out and igniting combustible material, there are alcohol stoves on the market that can be tipped over without the alcohol spilling out. Zelph Stoves makes two models like that, the Starlyte and the Venom Superstove.  Google Zelph Stoves to see the various models of stoves he sells.  The Starlyte is also being sold by the highly regarded BackPackingLight website. And Ryan Jordon of BackPackingLight doesn't sell junk.
