Additionally,

have you considered starting a few weeks earlier and just chillazing the first 
few weeks?  adjusting t trail life, enjoying the scenary and stopping you hikes 
at about noon every day for the first 2 weeks will do a LOT to train you... and 
is one of the most enjoyable things n the planet i can think of doing.
