Actually I was very surprised how well Fritos hold up in my pack. I usually
just put them on the top of the pack and they stay together pretty well -
lasting days without major breakage.

I have seen people take corn chips and purposely crush them to save space in
their pack put space was rarely an issue for me.

Another food that always surprised me at how well it held up was Ritz
crackers. I'd just shove (an I mean shove) the box into my pack and hardly
ever broke a single cracker. By the time I finished eating the 3rd roll of
crackers the box usually looked like it went through World War 3 but the
crackers were fine. I've been meaning to write to those folks at Ritz and
let them know what a great job they do packing their product.
