Like someone else mentioned.  I dont tend to take them off much. When i do they are either hanging around my neck or in a granite gear case that goes on your shoulder strap.

I always manage to destroy several pairs of sunglasses on the trail, so I
end up buying lots of gas-station cheapies in trail towns.

How do you guys keep your good sunglasses protected from being crushed or
scratched when you aren't wearing them? Do you store them inside a hard
case?

I go with smith and costa del mar.  Both companies optics are top notch and
you cant beat their repair/replacement policies.  I do a good job taking
care of my glasses so i try to avoid the cheap ones.  Im sure you'll find
something that fits your needs, there are so many options.
