[pct-l] Start Date

Good afternoon, Diane,

My comments are appropriate for someone starting from the Walker Pass
turn-out parking area where the PCT crosses the highway. The campground
facilities and the water tank are ¾ to 1 mile west of the pass summit –
depending upon how much wandering around one does to find the tank – and
much handier to a hiker coming from the south. Beginning at the pass that’s
about an hour lost time compared to having sufficient water when arriving at
the trailhead.

Enjoy….
