[pct-l] Resupply package - freshness

P178 et al.,

I used the bulk freeze-dried foods on the AT in '06 and had no problems with freshness or deterioration.  Maybe because I was always famished and would have eaten tree bark.  I am stocking up on bulk f-d stuff right now for the PCT - from Emergency Essentials (beprepared.com).

Ø  Remember, these products sit in warehouses and on grocery store shelves
for months on end as well.

Indeed.  I’m thinking more about all the bulk freeze dried products, which
in my experience have a limited shelf life once repackaged.

Packit Gourmet is familiar with thru hiker resupply and will ship to
wherever you need.

Thanks for the tip!
