There is a forest service campground right in town in Mammoth. Where there are campgrounds there are likely to be troublesome bears. So town should not be considered a safe place. I agree that as long as your convertible is absolutely free of food, trash and smellables, that it will probably be left alone. You have insurance, right? Marion
