As others have indicated anything can happen at any time.  I used a tarptent rainbow last year on the JMT from mid August to early September.  It did get below freezing one night.  This year I plan to use a SMD wild oasis tarp shelter. Pitched correctly you shouldn't have any problems. Also plan your sleep system accordingly.  A 35 degree bag can work far below below freezing when combined with clothing.
