[pct-l] Section H Questions

I am planning a 5 day hike starting June 29th. The plan is to hike in from the east side of the Sierras, starting at North Lake and taking the Piute Trail to join the PCT at about mile 856, (just south of Muir Ranch) then head north bound to Reds Meadow.

Question #1: We will need to leave a car as close to Reds Meadow as possible, as I understand it, there is a shuttle we have take from Reds Meadow out toward Mammoth? If so, where would we park our car for the 5 days? Where do we catch this shuttle and how often does it run? If no one knows, I can call up to Reds Meadows and ask them.

Question #2: Does anyone know what the road going up to North Lake out of Bishop is like? Unfortunately, one of the 2 cars being used for this shuttle will be a Mini Cooper.

Question #3: I am expecting the snow level to be at about 11,000' and moderately deep, with much more on the north sides of Seldon and Silver passes. Accordingly I am not planning on taking snow gaiters, ice axes or crampons. Do my snow expectations sound about right?

Question #4: I think the only 2 creek crossing in between Muir Ranch and Reds Meadows of any concern are Bear Creek and Mono Creek. Given that the snow melt is fierce right now I thought I would try (as best is possible) to hit these in the mornings. Are there any other crossings I am forgetting?

Also any other bits o' advice or info anyone has for this little hike is always appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
BigToe
