Section A from the Border to Warner Springs is about 110 miles.
The high point is the Laguna Mountains which isn't high enough to accumulate snow through the winter. Depending on timing you could have a couple of feet of fresh snow or a completely dry trail. Storms are still possible that time of year, but shouldn't be a problem if you're prepared. 
Chances are you'll have very pleasant weather in the normally hot section.
