[pct-l] Shaving on the trail

In my case, the idea of having a thick beard in the heat of summer just wasn't appealing. Then I thought about how big some of those thru-hiker beards get by the time they arrived in Canada and wondered how many ounces they weighed (what can I say, I'm an ounce counter). Considering how many other places I cutting an ounce or two from my pack weight, it seemed counter-productive to purposely grow a few back.

So I often carried a disposable razor and shaved whenever I got into town or found a bathroom with running water (normally about every 5days with a few longer exceptions). I kept a few more razors in my bounce box for when I wanted to swap out. As I don't grow facial hair very fast, this worked well for me.
