[pct-l] Ticks

Fires produce a lot of bad news.  However, there is one piece of good news. Fires burn up the ticks. I haven been hiking in the Los Padres forest since the 2008 Zaca fire and have yet to come in contact with a tick.  Repopulation of ticks will begin to happen when the animals repopulate the burn zones.  
When the PCT sections in the Station and Sheep burn areas reopen they will be tick free for a few years.
