[pct-l] Big Lake Youth Camp resupply.

Seconded! We weren't planning on going there last year, as we were meeting my brother at Santiam Pass for our resupply the next morning, but some southbounders convinced us otherwise. I think it was their tales of REAL towels, fresh out of the dryer.

What a place! Our favorite part was the meal pricing. The sign at the trail said one thing, the person in the office told us something less, and when we went to pay, that person dropped it even further. We laughed that if we'd had to go to anyone else they would have been paying *us*. We had no problem making an additional donation to their camp since they were asking so little anyway, and were so kind.

Our other favorite part was when we got our meal, they said "Oh, PCT hikers? You get the special hiker-only treat"...and reached into the freezer. Don't want to set up expectations as I'm not sure this was a regular thing, but it gives you an idea of how hiker-friendly they are.

One of the best spots on the trail to resupply in my opinion. The meal tickets are dirt cheap
and the showers and laundry services are excellent. Take note that it is a 7th Day Adventist
Youth Camp and Retreat center, so don't expect alcohol and such to be available. But, the
staff is extremely hiker friendly and very interested in hearing about your adventure. For
those of us that don't hitching into towns, this is an excellent spot to avoid the hitch into Bend
or Sisters. I realize that some folks live for the trail towns, but if you are sending your own
resupply packages, this is a top-flight resupply point.
