[pct-l] Flying

I am not a frequent flier and I am not up-to-date on all the regulations on what can be carried on or checked in at the gate when flying.  I'll be flying to the start of my hike this summer/fall and wanted to find out if I need to be concerned/aware of any restrictions to carrying on or checking my backpack when flying?
