In addition, I believe the CCW ruling on National Parks left it up to each state if they were ultimately to be allowed. I'm pretty sure that in California they are still not.

For good or bad (and in spite of the 2nd amendment), California does not
recognize CCW permits issued by any other state, and good luck getting a CCW
in California.
