[pct-l] Trail workers/Thru hikers

As a trail worker I agree, I would be embarrassed if a thru hiker gave 
me anything, knowing how every ounce counts.  I like to be thanked, I 
like to have my picture taken, I like to show up in someone's journal in 
a positive light, and I love it if a hiker helps me move a big heavy log 
out of the way!  I really enjoy chatting with the hikers that come 
along.  I also love to get good data from hikers about any obstructions 
on the trail that I have come out there to clear.  GPS coordinates are 
truly awesome.
