Thanks, just ordered fresh copies of all three volumes.  I would have been very sad to have discovered this after they were all gone, as the ones I have are in various states of disassembly.

However, I'm not sure that Wilderness Press itself is defunct.  The  announcement in July was that the WP Berkeley office was being closed but WP's operations were being moved to other offices and they intend to continue to publish outdoor titles under that imprint.  Maybe something has changed since then.  See this link:

Regardless, they're not going to be revised any more.  I know people have enjoyed muttering curses at the WP guidebooks over the years but this is a sad end to a very long era.  Wow.  I can't believe this is the end of the road for those books.
