[pct-l] Bear Canisters on the PCT - FYI

I have a question.  I have read up on the PCT bear hanging bag method, so I
think i have that one down, but where do you put your bear canisters at night?
Do you keep them in your tent with you, or stash them nearby (outside your
tent)?

I don't know if it has been mentioned in light of using a bear canister, but
for us having them gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing that Mr. Bear
wasn't going to rip into our packs at night! Also, it serves as an excellent
stool, short tabletop, laundry tub, and water bucket, to name a few.

Would I use one whenever in bear country? Absolutely (but, then, I carry a
"big-trucker" external frame pack and don't even know the thing is there!)
