We're still looking for more folks for these dates. We do have a critical mass
for both days (3 people) to get the brush saw fired up, but can always use more
help. Each lopper in the field speeds clearing the trail to its deserved level
of maintenance.
Friday will be near Snoqualmie Pass, wrapping up the work in the Ollalie
Meadows area for the year. Saturday will be south of Stampede Pass.
Forecast for both days is pretty fair, with not more than a 20% chance of precip
either day. Temps look comfortable to comfortably cool both days.
Saturday will kick off work on a 10,000' stretch of of the PCT being overgrown
by huckleberries, blueberries and their fellow travelers. This work is just in
time for the bulk of the thru hikers heading this way.
This work is coordinated by the PCTA and USFS - we're using the PCTAs brush saw
and other tools. No experience necessary. Tools, hard hat and training
provided. Bring a willingness to be safe, have some fun, and then get some work
done.
Contact me off list ASAP if you'd like to join up.
