[pct-l] health care providers along the PCT

I'm wondering about the desirability/feasibility of developing a list
of doctors/clinics along the trail. In the event one has a medical
issue, it might be nice to have something like this to turn to.
Especially if one knows of a physician that's clued into the special
circumstances of backpacking. It's also good to know if there just
aren't any. (At some small towns, you'll just have to travel to
another town to get care.)

This might be too hard, dunno. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
If it sounds doable, maybe Mr. Planyourhike.com could be the
information aggregator?

I got godawful sick in Ashland last year. After three days, I went to
the hospital ER. The verdict was 'you've got a virus, nothing we can
do about it'. The bill was $2000, most of which Kaiser paid, but it
still cost me a few hundred bucks.
