[pct-l] piercings on the trail

It depends on the piercings you have (location, really). My experience (aka
no thru-hikes but multiple overnights) has been that as long as you get into
town and shower regularly (i.e. once every few days), and don't go into the
woods with fresh piercings, you should be fine (aka let your recent piercing
heal first!). I also don't use my wooden plugs, although they allow the
piercings to breathe better, they can be more easily damaged (I have lobe
piercings). Instead, I take my glass ones, which are more durable and not
susceptible to getting wet.

Wow, that's a lot of parentheses!

Regards,
Eric
