The 10 Commandments of Thru-Hiking

1. Thou shalt honor thy angels steadfastly, for life would be less
without them.
2. Thou shalt tip well in towns, lest thee burn with fire for eternity.
3. Obsess not over miles, nor grams, nor anything else of little
consequence.
4. Thou shalt not trifle with bears, for thou art savory, and taste
good with ketchup.
5. Call your mother.
6. Of thy feet care greatly, for lo, they are with you always.
7. Honor those deep, fast streams, lest thou not succeed to another
generation.
8. Verily it is not always about thou.
9. Humbly give thanks daily to the magnificence of Mars and Hershey.
10. Thou shalt leaven with laughter all the days of thy hike.
