Fellow hikers;

Greetings and salutations. When we arrive at the trailhead, we are given the
OPPORTUNITY to walk the trail. That's all.

We are not ENTITLED to anything else;

Not to good weather....

Not to a well-marked, clear path.....

Not to reliable, conveniently-spaced clean water sources.......

Not to trail magic......

Not to the hospitality of Trail Angels....

Not to the certainty of immediate rescue by local SAR units......

Not even to having a good time......

The trail is what you make of it. It is not inherently dangerous, but like
the sea, is totally and completely unforgiving of a mistake on your part.
Flexibility on your part WILL be required.

If this is uncomfortable for or unacceptable to you, please .. STAY HOME,
and leave the trail to the rest of us.

Regards,

Wandering Bob
