Greetings! 
I was looking for an update on Olallie Lake area, this is  what the report 
was last week.  NOTE the avalanche  info. 
Date: 7-24-11
Subject: Pacific Crest  Trail #2000 
Trail is still mostly under snow above 5200 ft. Trail has not been  cleared.
*** The Milk Ck crossing experienced a substantial avalanche over the  
Winter causing a 50 ft deep avalanche field at the crossing site. Milk Ck is now 
 undercutting the snow pack and making this crossing potentially dangerous. 
Use  extreme caution in selecting your crossing route! ***
