That doesn't change anything.  The *default* is that if you write something, you automatically own the copyright on it.  Period.  You might submit your writing to a site that has a EULA that they get copyright on anything they publish, but the PCT-L has no such agreement.  The notice that Ryan appended to the bottom of all individual emails just explicitly calls out that all posts are owned by their authors and there are no reproduction rights conferred to anyone else, which is the default state of things anyway.
