Hi Amanda,
I don't have any answer for your question about Vytorin, but would agree
with others advising other strategies to manage cholesterol levels. In
my own case, my overall cholesterol is usually borderline high. My
doctor has been very reluctant to prescribe medication for me because
I've demonstrated in the past that I can "tolerate" lower cholesterol
levels. (I've always thought that was an interesting word choice.) The
real interesting thing, however, is that I dropped my overall
cholesterol 35 points in a 4 month period in 2009. This was directly
after being out on the JMT for 12 days (plus doing some trail running,
etc., leading up to that.) There's something about walking 8 hours a
day....

I am concerned about muscle weakness. I know you can't give out medical advice over the Internet and without seeing my blood work, but I would like to know if anyone has experienced muscle weakness on Vytorin.
