[pct-l] Question and comment

There is a post office right next to the convenience store in Tuolumne Meadows, although in a heavy snow year neither may be open by the time the typical nobo PCT thru hiker arrives.  (There are actually two stores in Tuolumne--the mountaineering store, which has a good selection of outdoor gear and supplies, is near the gas station, while the grocery/convenience store is near the post office and grill.  There are also pay showers at the lodge--if open--which is roughly a mile from the stores above, but the PCT passes right by the lodge on the way to the stores.  Usually by the time all of these facilities are open a free shuttle is in operation.)
