[pct-l] Meetin' my girl

Tony,

I'm meeting a couple people along they way. The key to this, just like the
thru hike, is flexibility. Ideally, she will be able to adjust her schedule
a couple days either way up until a week or so before. You may have trouble
predicting the exact date you will arrive somewhere on the trail this early,
but you should know when you're within 100-150 miles.

The other option is to plan a worst case scenario. You think you might hit S
Lake Tahoe on July 15th (made up the date no idea if this is accurate
without looking it up), but you might be there as early as the 10th or as
late as the 20th. Have her arrive more towards your worst case estimate.
Then, if you arrive early, you just have to wait. I'm assuming she is taking
time off work and can't sit around and wait for you. This could mean you end
up sitting around for a few days, but on the other hand, if you got to Echo
Lakes 5 days before she is scheduled to arrive, just keep hiking and hitch
back from further north.

I'm actually meeting someone at Echo Lakes myself. He is going to hike the
60ish miles from there north with me (yes, I'm planning to slow down a LOT
hehe). I told him I can't give an exact date right now, but he is OK as long
as I let him know about a week before. His boss is flexible. He has the days
off he needs and can move them around as needed. So I'll just call him from
the previous resupply. By then, I should be able to estimate my arrive
within at least one day if not within a few hours LOL.
