Each water cache angel works at his or her own speed and timing, but I think
they are all pretty conscious of the basic pack travel dates.  Caching your
own water is a great idea, and will help in that it's just that much less
water taken from the caches.  So if you have the time, go for it, you'll be
sure of your water supply.  Last year all caches were well stocked for those
of us that began 2 weeks before kickoff.  Some folks toward the back of the
starting pack, which would have been several weeks after kickoff, did report
some dry caches.  But being toward the front, water was not a problem, and
we had so much rain and snow in the south, that any stream that could flow,
was flowing.  That also could have lessened the amount of water taken from
each cache.
