On Monday night, January 24, Oregon Public Broadcasting will re-broadcast
“Pacific Crest Trail: A Ride to Remember.” The documentary on Don and June
Mulford’s historic 1959 thru-ride on the PCT will air at 9 p.m. It is part
of the “Oregon Experience” series, which is co-produced by OPB and the
Oregon Historical Society.

The Mulfords were Washington ranchers who decided to try what everybody said
couldn't be done – ride their horses the entire length of the PCT from
Mexico to Canada in one year. It would prove to be the adventure of a
lifetime. Armed with a movie and slide camera, they documented life on the
trail and captured surprises along the way. A Ride to Remember showcases
their stunning photography and will delight viewers with memories still
fresh after fifty years.
