[pct-l] Acclimation to altitude

I've never had much of a problem with altitude sickness, and I'm going to
attribute part of that to the fact that the first time I ever did any hiking
over 8,000 ft altitude, I was told "the only thing you can do to prevent
altitude sickness is drink water, drink water, and drink more water." It's
good advice to follow. One of the guys on that trip decided he didn't need
to drink more water than normal, and he spent the evening vomiting. Any time
I start feeling any nausea or lightheadedness while mountaineering or hiking
at altitude, I drink water, maybe eat something, drink more water and wait,
and eventually it goes away.
