I spoke to a young couple, Jana and Jesse, who had just come through Lassen
Park SOBO. They reported that trail conditions were not difficult. There
was snow (2-3 feet) on portions of the trail, but not difficult. They
approached Kings Creek and decided not to cross near the log or across it
and instead followed footprints and trail beside Kings Creek to above the
falls to the Summit Lake trail and crossed there where it was much easier.
They had a great day at Drakesbad soaking in the hot pool and eating dinner,
and thought there was no reason not to go through from Chester to Old
Station or vice versa. They encountered several thrus, including Bloodbath,
who were in a hurry to press on north.

The next hikers I see NOBO from Belden I'll try to get the same sort of
information.
