[pct-l] where to enter

Two of us are wanting to get back on the trail for another month or two and
trying to find a good entry point (-as many of us are-).

I only have a few short sections to complete the trail.  One of them is the
first 40 miles north of Belden, so I'd like to start there.  
Anyone been there recently to let us know what we can expect?  We don't have
a GPS. 

How about around the Mt. Lassen area?
