Hikers have been using the original PCT since 2004. The Forest Service has
been working every year on the original trail replacing bridges and clearing
trees. They have done no work on the reroute and over the last 6-7 seasons
only 4-5 hikers out of 1000 have used the reroute.

We have had two SOBO and there is still a lot of snow up north. It should be
great by the time you get in the area. Let me know if you have any other
questions.
