I live in Vancouver and would definitely like to help folks who choose to backtrack to Ross Lake after finishing rather than enter Canada illegally.  I could shuttle you from Ross Lake to Bellingham, where you can get Amtrak or Greyhound; If you're in a small party (i.e., can all fit in my wife's '97 Escort wagon) I could probably take them from the Greyhound terminal in Vancouver over the border, pick you up, and drop you all off in Bellingham.

Unfortunately, I might not be able to help everyone, because it's about a 6-hour commitment each time, but I absolutely WILL do it for anyone who's helped me, angeling or otherwise, on my section hike so far--thank you!--or on my upcoming section from Pines to Palms to Walker Pass, leaving April 19; karma being what it is, I will try hard to help anyone else!  Feel free to email me off-list for contact info.  If I remember, I'll also try to leave that info at the Saufleys' and at Hikertown.
