[pct-l] contact lenses

I am blind blind blind without some type of vision correction and I wore contact 
lenses on trail
in 05 and again in 09.....

I also used the extended wear variety.... carried a small bottle of wetting 
solution in my pack, as well as 
spare lenses....

I tried to change lenses only in towns after showers (for obvious dirty handed 
reasons), and I carried a pair
of glasses as an emergency backup (I can only see about 8 inches from my nose 
without vision correction)...
My eyes did get dirt in them... did get tired and sore from the contacts (wind, 
sun, dirt).... but usually a short vacation
in glasses did the trick and I was able to wear them for most of my hikes....
