I really like the new format Craig. Just spent a few minutes entering our planned Ashland to Elk Lake section hike this August. Played with the adjustments a little also. Quick, easy to use, information is presented in a clear manner. Very nice job!

Password reset worked without any issues also.

Thanks for all your effort!

PS: The brown trail plot does look much more realistic.....although part of the trail is darker, some is light grey, some is light brown.....work on that will you?<grin>

You will need to reset your password (via the "forgot password" button), if your email address isn't linked up with your account please email me at cg at lunky.com or write me through the feedback form on the planner site. I wanted to update the encryption used for the way the passwords are stored, so requiring you to reset your password was necessary.

The specific details are on the front page. Please note that I removed all of the information about the resupplies. Instead, I put a "notes" field for each resupply where you can put in whatever you want.

Most of my free programming time goes into humanclock.com and humancalendar.com now. Because of this, I don't keep up on the day-to-day doings of the PCT so I've always been a bit uncomfortable in the back of my mind about the possibility of having incorrect information about the resupplies. (On a side note, I have been on the PCT for overnight trips in Washington and taken Human Clock photos of PCT thru-hikers, so I guess there is a little bit of overlap!)

Part of the hiking experience is the great unknown that you can't plan for, hence trying to accommodate for variables such as lengthy water carries or your hiking mood/pace in relation to the current moon cycle is pushing it a bit too far I think.

Suddenly getting to Echo Lake Resort was no longer a priority. I walked a 34 mile day and slept off of Highway 50. The next day I hitched into South Lake Tahoe with some hardcore hippy guy named Tom who picked me up in his beat up VW van. I have no photos of him because he was a bit paranoid of my camera, nice guy though. He ended up driving all the way to Reno. I went to the show, met Bruce Hornsby, saw Los Lobos and a bunch of other bands. A couple days later I was back on the trail.
