I have never heard anyone on PCT-L talk about Pacer Poles. I got some as recommended by some AT thru-hiker friends. (I hike on both AT and PCT each year.) I love them. The molded hand grip is much more ergonomic IMHO. And it is also very nice for aging hands. For me, worth the price. You get them online from England. Just search Pacerpole.com. Medicare Pastor
