this is my pillow of choice! totally worth the 3.7 oz if u ask me. Sleep is very
important when ur hiking 25-30 miles a day. I have a twisted spine and pelvic
from a car accident and if I don't use a pillow I hurt bad the next day. I've
tried everyone out there and made my own with stuff sacks and clothes. Problem
with that is if all ur clothes are wet or on u b/c it's so dam cold....what do u
have left to stuff the bag with? I've even tried using my food bag...but then
the smell of the food keeps me up all night...I think I'll stick to my blow up
pillow!

and So Do haven't had any problems with it getting punctured...pretty durable.
But I do have to admit the corners sometimes have issues...good thing about REI
is they replace everything!

I have seen these pillows and hear they are great, but what keeps them from
getting punctured from the same prickly things you all have out there that
puncture self inflating mattresses? :-)

Dear Jeff,

I just bought an inflatable backpacking pillow from REI. I did a test hike
in Big Basin (never stopped raining) and the pillow worked great. I under
inflated it so it was soft and squishy, gawd it was great! My pack weight
is a tad higher than I want. Wow, comfort vs. weight... always the dilemma!
