[pct-l] SILK LAYERS

Hey Paul,

Well the wallet spoke and I got the Capilene 2 for both top and bottom. I
dealt through a company called Sunny Sports: no shipping, no tax, $29.95 for
the top and $45 for the bottoms. The company is out of New York. I found
them on line under "cheap". And so they have been true to their name. I only
hope there isn't something in fine print that I missed that says they fall
apart after two wearing! I would have loved having the Icebreaker line but
I could not justify the sever difference in cost. In all seriousness, I hope
I haven't been taken.

Your help made all the difference for I knew not where to even begin. Thank
you very much.

are we there yet
JoAnn

Silk, per ounce is less warm than qiviut or merino wool... Less warm than
some grades of cashmere as well.

Silk weight often does not mean it has any silk in it. You can buy "silk
weight merino wool" or silk weight MTS.

The silk clothing I have had has not held up well enough for the PCT but
I've not tried too many kinds. Also my smartwool is not NEARLY as durable
as 'Icebreaker' brand merino.

I recommend either capilene, or icebreaker merino wool.
