9 miles after I-10 underpass near Cabazon there is a place called Whitewater Preserve, some of the maps call it Whitewater Trout Farm. There is a ton of water flowing through here, rocky beaches and the park has water, restrooms with water and a visitors center with several spigots. It's not even on the list that I saw. Kay
