We plan a late season hike (late August-early September) on the PCT including the high Sierra area. Can anyone tell us if lingering snow/high stream crossings were a problem during that time in previous high snow years ('98, '05, etc.)? Or does the snow always melt out by then regardless of early depth? Thanks .
