Did you ever get some takers for a distance-hiking get together in Plumas?  I'm a thru (93) from Quincy and I know another from Meadow Valley.

Even though we can see the peaks above the PCT from our house I know no 
one locally that loves hiking long distances on the PCT.  Also there is 
a local PCT office in our Plumas National Forest area.  I would love 
nothing better than a get-together with other long distance hikers in 
our area, for a social event.
