There are a lot of options out there.
Giardia meds aare a good idea.  There are a couple of drugs out there.  You
can research the 2 choices on the CDC website, then write down the name and
dosage for your doc.  Many docs don't routinely prescribe drugs for our
purposes, and may be hazy on the latest info.  It helps them help you if
you go prepared.
Some people carry something for wound infections.  For this you can ask
your doc and get a reasonable suggestion.
When you fill prescription, take a ziploc to the pharmacy.  Most will
gladly place your prescription in the ziploc with a prescription label (in
case law enforcement or border patrol, etc get curious).
Finally, don't forget to get your tetanus vaccine updated, if needed.
All of these things are available in towns along the trail, but at urgent
care clinics, it'll cost a lot more.
