[pct-l] Time off to hike

I lived super cheap. No debt. Can you believe I have never bought a
car, let alone a house, and I'm 47 years old! One day asked myself
why I was sitting in a cubicle when I had enough money saved up in my
checking account to last at least a year. So I quit. Spent TWO
summers hiking the trail. Got a seasonal job in between to stay busy.
Got a low-quality job afterward until I could find another decent
cubicle job. Plan to stay here 10 years or so and then quit forever.
At least that's the current plan.
