I grew up in the Willamette Valley... It's mid-August and the valley grass
seed farmers are burning their fields...  along with a common summer
north-north-west wind puts the smoke at Crater Lake.  Ruins your photos and
maybe effects your breathing, but generally it's nothing to worry about.
